Processing Times
Made-to-order items: 3-5 business days before shipping
Vintage items and handpainted ceramics: 1-3 business days before shipping
Please note that processing times do not include shipping transit time.

Made-to-order items (fulfilled in the US): 3-5 business days delivery within the United States
Vintage items and handpainted ceramics (shipped from EU to US): 1-2 weeks
EU destinations: Approximately 5 business days
Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on your location and carrier schedules.

Made-to-order items: Flat rate shipping
Vintage items and handpainted ceramics: Calculated at checkout based on your location and package weight
Shipping Carriers
We work with trusted carriers to ensure your items arrive safely:
US fulfillment: USPS and other local carriers
EU to international: PostNL, UPS, DHL
Tracking and Insurance
All orders include tracking information, which will be sent to your email once your item ships. Vintage items and handpainted ceramics shipped from Europe are fully insured for your peace of mind.

SHIPPING TO THE UNITED STATES
Important Information About US Customs Duties
Due to recent changes in US customs regulations (effective August 2025), all shipments to the United States are subject to import duties and taxes, regardless of order value.
What This Means for You:
We will pay all import duties for you, they are included in the sales price. No surprises or extra costs at delivery!
These fees would have been:
- Collected by the carrier (PostNL/USPS), not by Italian Summers
- Typically 15-25% of your order value
- Based on US customs regulations and product classification
Why We Use PostNL:
We ship to the US via PostNL (Dutch postal service) to keep your delivery costs as low as possible. Unlike commercial couriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL), postal services do not charge high brokerage fees, so you only pay the actual customs duties and taxes.
Example:
- Order value: $100 USD
- Estimated duties & taxes at delivery: $15-25 USD
- No additional brokerage fees
Please Note:
- Refusing delivery will result in the package being returned to us, and you will be responsible for return shipping costs
